The Cook Islands Financial Services Development Authority (operating as Cook Islands Finance) is delighted to announce the presence of 3 experienced legal practitioners to represent the Cook Islands trust industry at the upcoming 19th Annual International Estate Planning Institute in New York on the 14th & 15th of March.
Cook Islands Finance are a key sponsor of this year’s Institute, which is jointly hosted by the New York State Bar Association and STEP New York, will bring together trust and estate practitioners, bankers, and accountants from around the world.
“One of the key outcomes for participating in high profiles conferences like the 19th Annual International Estate Planning Institute is to raise the profile of the Cook Islands’ world-class asset protection laws,” stated Tony Fe’ao, CEO of Cook Islands Finance, who is attending the Institute on behalf of Cook Islands Finance.
“They also provide a platform for Cook Islands trust companies to take advantage of network opportunities with industry peers, stay updated with the trends in estate planning and asset protection, and market their services on the international stage.”
Fe’ao will be joined by at the conference by 3 established lawyers, all of whom are experienced practitioners in wealth management and asset protection. Their participation at the Institute will further position the Cook Islands as a leading jurisdiction for asset protection and trustee services.
Marcos Almeida – Southpac Group
Marcus is the Head of Client and Legal Services at Southpac brings a wealth of banking and legal experience to the table. Marcos has been instrumental in steering the Southpac’s legal strategies to new heights. With over 11 years of experience as a lawyer and 16 years of experience working in the legal industry, Marcos received his TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) after completing the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management. He is currently based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Tine Fa’asili Ponia – Asiaciti
Tine lends her extensive experience in commercial litigation and trust industry prowess to Asiaciti Trust Pacific Limited as the Managing Director of Asiaciti Cook Islands. Tine is a full member of STEP. Tine graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand as top commercial law student and is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Courts of the Cook Islands and New Zealand.
Jenner Davis – T&F Cook Islands
With a background that combines law, international finance, and asset protection, Jenner has profoundly influenced the Cook Islands’ financial services landscape. As a former CEO with the Cook Islands FSDA and a trusted advisor in wealth management strategies, Jenner’s education and hands-on experience provide a rich foundation for her advisory roles.
