Cook Islands Finance was proud to return as a Gold sponsor of the 2025 Go! Cook Islands Careers Expo, continuing its mission to connect, inspire, and inform the next generation of Cook Islands professionals.
Held at the National Auditorium and hosted by the Cook Islands Ministry of Education, this year’s event was a resounding success — with a noticeable increase in vendors as well as student participation and engagement across the Expo. The Cook Islands Finance booth saw a steady stream of enthusiastic students eager to learn more about the nation’s international financial services industry and the diverse careers it offers.
Throughout the day, Cook Islands Finance was joined by trust company representatives, who supported the booth by sharing real-world insights into the industry and showcasing the wide range of career opportunities available locally.
This year, the booth featured interactive activities and a Social Media Competition, which invited students to post content featuring the Cook Islands Finance booth for a chance to win prizes. Activities tested students’ knowledge of the industry and its role in the Cook Islands economy, while the social competition brought fun and creativity to the event.
Cook Islands Finance announced Tinaya Karaitiana of Tereora College as the winner of the social media competition, taking home a brand-new JBL speaker for her standout post and caption.
“We were pleased with the level of engagement this year,” said Cook Islands Finance CEO Tony Fe’ao. “It was great to see so many students asking thoughtful questions, getting involved, and showing real curiosity about the financial services sector.”
Fe’ao reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to building local awareness and capacity in the sector:
