Cook Islands Finance Welcomes New CEO

The Cook Islands Finance Board of Directors and Staff. Cook Islands Finance (Cook Islands Financial Services Development Authority), the government agency dedicated to promoting and developing the Financial Services Industry in the Cook Islands, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Tony Fe’ao as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Tony brings a wealth of experience in management and marketing from both the private and public sectors of the Cook Islands.

In his new role as CEO, Tony is tasked with further enhancing the Cook Islands’ reputation as a relevant, compliant and progressive international financial.

His experience in management and marketing from roles as GM at Cook Islands News, Digital Marketing Manager at Cook Islands Tourism and a Private Contractor will be instrumental in driving growth and innovation in the financial industry.

“We are excited to welcome Tony as the new CEO of Cook Islands Finance. With his track record in leadership roles and comprehensive understanding of marketing strategies, we are confident that he will lead Cook Islands Finance forward,” said Ms Dallas Young, Chairperson of the Cook Islands Finance Board of Directors. 

Former acting CEO, Mr. Alan Taylor, will continue to play a pivotal role within Cook Islands Finance. He will take on the newly created position of Legal Technical Advisor, bringing his extensive technical and legal expertise to the organization.

Alan has a longstanding history with Cook Islands Finance, having served as Marketing Director and CEO in the past. Alan commenced his career practicing law in New Zealand before moving overseas where he worked in the international financial services industry in the Cook Islands, Jersey and Singapore. He has held legal, business development and senior management positions in both public and private organisations.

Alan’s transition to this new role reflects Cook Islands Finance’s commitment to leveraging its existing talent and ensuring a seamless leadership transition.
