The Monaco Yacht Show held in Monte Carlo at Port Hercules 28th September to 1st October 2022 was very positive for Cook Islands Finance and Maritime Cook Islands.
Cook Islands Finance and Maritime Cook Islands shared a booth at the event with its South Pacific cousins (Tahiti Tourism, Fiji Tourism and Australia). It was Cook Islands Finance’s first year attending the Show and it delivered excellent prospects. Many HNWIs and yacht owners showed real interest in the Cook Islands financial services, including how to establish a trust company and an international company in the Cook Islands and registering their boats under the Cook Islands flag.
The Monaco Yacht Show is the most prestigious boat show in the world, with an attendance of almost 35,000 individuals over four days and more than 450 major companies in the luxury yachting industry being represented. This show was a great opportunity for representatives from the Cook Islands financial services industry to network with HNWIs and promote their services. Many attendees indicated interest in visiting the Cook Islands naming it as their next bucket list destination.
